School of Music has been set up by Chetna Sehgal in the year 2008 with the primary objective to preserve and promote Indian Classical Music of all forms. The school aims to support the musical aspirations of the talented artists /students to enhance their talent in a polished manner.

The journey started with a dream which was born in India in the year 2007. A dream to make Indian Classical Music accessible beyond the boundaries of culture , religion or geography.

Global Ragas has created one such platform where-in, it has brought together people from diverse cultures who speak the universal language of music.

Chetna is an internationally acclaimed Hindustani Classical Artist . She started learning Indian Classical Music at the age of six.  She remained a scholar at the Faculty of Music & Arts , Delhi University until the year 2006 when she attained Masters in Music. She was rewarded a Gold Medal by the University of Delhi (India) for her excellence in her performances.

After arriving in The Netherlands, Chetna joined The Rotterdam Conservatory – Codarts as a Faculty and had a pleasure of teaching International students under the leadership of the Great Flute Maestro – Pt Hari Prasad Chaurasiya.

Chetna is fortunate enough to be trained both Vocally & Instrumentally under the Guidance of Illustrious Maestros like Smt. Manorma Ahuja – Disciple of Bade Ghulam Ali Khan Sahib , Patiala Gharana . Smt Pragati Mishra happens to be her Instrumental teacher who introduced Sitar to her for the very first time during her school days . She chose to adapt the tenets of Pt Ravi Shankar Style , Maihar Gharana .
