We are happy to announce that our next global event Spandan Series 2 is planned for 25th June 2022 at Schouwburg Amstelveen. It is the largest theater of the city center at a prime location within a minute’s walk from Amstelveen Bus/Tram Station.Parking is possible at Schouwburg Garage.

Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia ji will be performing LIVE Indian Classical Music with the accompanying artists , Niti Ranjan Biswas on Tabla and Jean Christophe Bonafus on flute.

Start time of the show: 19:45 hrs, Doors Open : 19:30

First Half : 40 minutes. Performance by Chetna Sehgal and her Global Ragians
Break Time: 20 minutes
Second Half: 75 minutes. Performance by Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia and Team with a small talk with the Artist.

About the Maestro :

Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia ji is one of the most respected maestros of Indian Classical Music. He is one of the most lovable musicians of our times, a master of the Bansuri, the North Indian bamboo flute, he has collaborated with all sorts of illustrious musicians from the world of Indian Classical Music and also masters of other styles and instruments. Padma Bhushan & Padma Vibhushan Pt Hariprasad Chaurasia has not only taken the flute to the hitherto uncharted territory but is also a renowned composer, having created unforgettable immortal songs for several hit films in Bollywood.The artist is at a very advanced age but the ravage of time has not made his enthusiastic spirit fade. He has trained students in Rotterdam , WMDC for over several decades. He was also the artistic director of the Indian classical music department in The Netherlands from the 1990’s. In the year 2008 he received a Royal Honor from the Queen of The Netherlands. His outstanding contribution towards music has helped in bridging the gap between both the countries . He has received tremendous love and respect from students in and around The Netherlands.

We will also be organizing a Master Class by the Artist himself, where students not only learn the technicalities from the musicians but also have the opportunity to evolve on a personal scale. Global Ragas School of Music Annual Concerts, gives students an opportunity to perform in the presence of renowned musicians.
